Computer Tomography allows us to see the inside of your body in 3D (three dimensional form). For this examination, an X-ray tube will circle around your body and take many pictures from different angles. A computer with strong processing power will then use these individual layer pictures to compile a complete 3D picture.
Similar to classic X-ray pictures, CT is particularly suitable in showing the bone structure – for example the skeleton, joints and spine. The CT examination only takes a few minutes and you will be slowly moved from the open arch of the CT machine.
Due to the reason that we, at Wirbelsäulenzentrum am Stiglmaierplatz, use modern, multidetector spiral CT technology and meticulously care about radiation protection, we will keep the exposure to radiation is as little as possible. Our friendly team will guide you through the examination and are available to answer any questions you may have.
