What do I have to bring with me to my appointment?

Every patient should bring their health insurance card with them. Also, if you have documentation concerning your spine, please bring that along as well. Especially, MRT pictures, CT pictures, X-rays, medical reports from your doctors. 

Do I have to be privately insured?

No, we treat all patients. We also treat patients in the German public health system. For other countries health insurance systems, please ask at the registration.

How long is an appointment?

The length of an appointment depends on which documentation and reports are already available. When images of the spine in our MRT or CT is necessary, then we coordinate this with your appointment. Thus, we hope to keep your appointment duration as short as possible.

When therapeutic measures are planned to start immediately, your visit to us will last a little bit longer.

How long do I have to wait for an appointment?

Usually, you get an appointment in around 2 to 3 weeks after arranging. In emergency cases, we schedule you in on the day.

Am I going to be operated on at the WZAS? Where am I going to have my operation?

It depends on the planned surgery and your health insurance. The operation will be at the Hospital in München-Neuperlach or the Atos Klinik.

In addition, we take care of patients in the following hospitals: in Pasing, Dachau, Penzberg.

All clinics are excellently equipped and have an experienced and well-coordinated team for your care.

Where should I go in an emergency?

During our office hours, please call our hotline (Tel 089/54 34 30 30). Here we can tell you what you should do.

Outside of our office hours, you can use the accident and emergency department of the Klinik Alt-Perlach Schmidbauerstr. 4, (Tel. 089/67 80 21). Private patients can also go to the Atos Klinik München (089/20 40 00 146).  

Which type of therapies do you offer?

We offer the complete spectrum of conservative, interventional and surgical spinal treatments. Our center has inpatient and hospitalization departments for both prevention and rehabilitation.

Am I always going to be treated by the same doctor?

Usually, you will be treated by the same doctor. Our specialists have different specialization. Your personal head doctor depends on your medical condition and its manifestations.

For appointments at short-notice, this might be another doctor.

Is the practice specialized?

Yes, we are specialized in all forms of spinal conditions.

Our center has of the most well equipped radiology department and rehabilitation centers.  We can offer everything from conventional therapy to minimally invasive surgery. Thus providing you with the complete spectrum of modern examination methods and treatment options.
